Although wet this year, our Post picnic went well. This year we had two of the best cooks in Charlton prepairing our dinner.
Good to see Mike on a two week leave from Iraq, there with his family.
We sometimes forget as a nation that we are at war and our brave young men and women on this very moment are there
serving for us and away from home.
Post will again be having a booth set up on the common for Old Home Day and once again will be leading the Parade with our Color Guard.
The Post would like to thank Mr. B. for his generous donation for next years Boy State program, which will now allows us to send two young men to Boys State Next year. THANK YOU!
Congratulations to Kieth Krewson on becoming our new Post Commander.
Post has been informed that from the Army donation program that we will be getting our M1 rifles, however not for another 6 months.
Post instalation will be on Saturday Sept. 17 @ 6:00pm ( that's 1800 hours ) all new officers should be there. Dinner to follow.
Loading a photo of Mike, a member of the Post and of Peter to his left who also is from Charlton, we hope to see them again around Christmas.
